Our Strategic Objectives

The Ministry of Infrastructure in Anguilla is committed to overseeing and regulating various key sectors essential for the island’s development. From ensuring quality communication and utilities services to reviewing tourism policies and regulating transport for public safety, the Ministry plays a vital role. Additionally, strategic planning, infrastructure development, and effective resource management are key focuses. The initiation of a Maintenance Plan for GOA assets reflects a commitment to maintaining high standards. Below, we outline specific tasks and responsibilities integral to achieving these overarching goals.

Monitor and regulate organisations in the communications and utilities fields  to ensure quality  delivery at an affordable cost to the people of Anguilla

Review the policy on the development of the Tourism sector and its supporting amenities so as to contribute to the social, economic and financial sustainability and advancement of Anguilla

Monitor, review and regulate the land (Roads/Vehicular) aviation and maritime transport sector services to  protect passengers and  the  general public  and to enable safe movement of goods

Plan  and  monitor transport and  communications systems to ensure that they  develop in a co-ordinated and coherent manner which meets  the needs  of users

Plan and co-ordinate infrastructural development within  the resources available which  meets  the needs  of Anguilla

Initiate the Department of Infrastructure to complete the Maintenance Plan for GOA assets  to agreed standards

Manage the Ministry effectively while ensuring the  best  use  of  its  human resources and  efficient management of finances

Our Structure

The Honourable Minister responsible for Infrastructure, Communications, Utilities, Housing and Tourism is supported by a management team which consists of the Permanent Secretary; Director, Public Utilities, Technology and Information Security; Director; Construction & Housing Director; Maritime Affairs, and Tourism Planner.  MICUH&T has a staff complement of twelve persons. There are two departments under its remit, namely, the Department of Infrastructure and the Anguilla Fire and Rescue Service.

Solar Street Lights

As part of the Green Block initiative, a component of the Anguilla Renewable Energy Programme, solar streetlights will be erected through part of The Valley.
